Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:55 P.M. on Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Laine moved that the minutes of February 4, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF176 (Emmer) Death record replacement required when ordered by the court

Representative Emmer moved that HF176 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to General Register.

Representative Emmer presented the bill.

Providing testimony were:

Barb Wills, Assistant Division Director, Division of Health Policy, Minnesota Department of Health

Representative Emmer moved the H0176A1 amendment.

Representative Gardner moved to amend the H0176A1 amendment as follows:

Page 1, after line 1, insert:
Page 1, line 2, delete "a replacement" and insert "an amended"

Representative Emmer incorporated the oral amendment into the H0176A1 amendment.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Emmer moved the H0176A2 amendment with the following change:

Page 1, line 4, delete "7" and insert "1"

Representative Thissen moved to amend the H0176A2 amendment as follows:

Representative Emmer renewed his motion that HF176, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
