Representative Carlos Mariani, Chair of the K-12 Education Policy & Oversight Committee, unofficially called the fourth meeting to order at 8:34 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

Chair Mariani officially called the meeting to order at 8:36 AM. A quorum was present.
Rep. McFarlane moved that the minutes of January 15, 2009 be adopted, as amended by Rep. Obermueller. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES, AS AMENDED, WERE ADOPTED.
Education advocates presented on their organizations’ top priorities for 2009.

Chair Mariani informed the committee that the Thursday, Jan. 22nd meeting has been cancelled, and the committee will next meet on Tuesday, Jan. 27th at 8:30 AM.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 AM.
