MINUTES


Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:40 P.M. on March 18, 2010, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murdock assumed the gavel at 4:44 P.M.


Representative Sanders moved that the minutes of March 16, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 3386 (Swails) Residential contracts performance guidelines required, statutory warranties modified, notice and opportunity to repair required, and dispute resolution procedures provided.

Representative Murdock moved HF 3386.

Representative Murdock moved to orally amend HF 3386 as follows:
Line 7.11, delete "327.05" and insert "327A.05".
Line 7.12, delete "can". THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Murdock moved that HF 3386, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 3117 (Morrow) Motor carrier contracts regulated and indemnification provisions prohibited.

Representative Murdock moved HF 3117.

HF 2699 (Hilstrom) Acquisition of the legal right to redeem a residence in foreclosure regulated, and mortgagee notice required after a sheriff's sale of residential real property in foreclosure.

Representative Murdock moved HF 2699.

Representative Murdock moved the H2699A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sanders moved the H3042A7 amendment.

Representative Sanders moved to orally amend the H3042A7 amendment as follows:
Line 1.9, delete "62Q.78" and insert "62Q.735, subdivision 1, paragraph (c)". THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sanders moved the H3042A7 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
