Representative Kahn, Chair of the Division, called the meeting to order at 2:49 P.M. on April 2, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

House of Representatives Controller Paul Schweizer began his presentation of the House’s budget request.
A quorum was present at 2:56 P.M.
Representative Tom Huntley gave an overview of the Great Lakes Commission and explained why it should continue to be funded.
Representative Sheldon Johnson gave an overview of the Mississippi River Parkway Commission and explained why it should continue to be funded.
Mr. Schweizer continued his presentation on the budget of the House of Representatives.
Director Greg Hubinger, Legislative Coordinating Commission, gave a brief overview of the Commission.
Revisor Michele Timmons, Revisor of Statutes, presented the Revisor’s office budget request.
Legislative Auditor Jim Nobles, Office of the Legislative Auditor, presented an overview of the Office’s budget request.
Director Robbie LaFleur, Legislative Reference Library, presented an overview of the Library’s budget request.
Executive Director Larry Martin, Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement, presented an overview of the Commission’s budget request.
Representative Mason moved that the minutes of March 31, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Mr. Hubinger presented the Legislative Coordinating Commission’s budget request.
Director Barry LaGrave, House Public Information Services, presented an overview of the office’s budget request.
