HOUSING POLICY AND FINANCE AND PUBLIC HEALTH FINANCE

MINUTES


Representative Karen Clark, Chair, called the forty-third meeting to order at 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Benson moved that HF1993 (Clark) Minneapolis; utility poles treated with or containing pentachlorophenol prohibited, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Benson presented an amendment to HF1993 (See attached amendment H1993DE1).

Representative Benson renewed the motion that HF1993 be laid over for possible inclusion. Hearing no objection, the bill was laid over.

Chair Clark moved that HF3678 (Clark) challenge program for affordable housing and permanent supportive housing purposes funding provided, and bonds issued, be returned to the Committee on Finance.

Chair Clark moved to reconsider the H3678A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS RECONSIDERED.
Chair Clark withdrew the H3678A1 amendment.

Chair Clark moved an amendment to HF3678 (See attached amendment H3678A3). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testified on HF 3678 as amended:

Chair Clark renewed the motion that HF3678 as amended, be returned to the Committee on Finance.

Representative McNamara requested a roll-call vote. The results were as follows:

On a vote of 8 Ayes and 4 Nayes, the motion prevailed.

Representative Severson moved that HF3597 be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Severson moved an oral amendment to HF3597 as follows:

Page 1 Line 1.12 After, "collected"
Insert, "health-related licensing board"

Line 1.12 After "by the"
Insert, "health-related licensing board"

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Severson renewed the motion that HF3597 as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill. Hearing no objection, the bill was laid over.

Representative Scott moved that the minutes of March 17 and 23, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:48 a.m.
