Representative John Ward, Vice-Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:50PM on March 11, 2010, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2426 (Morrow) A bill for an act relating to education finance; modifying the postsecondary enrollments options programs.

Representative Morrow testified.

A quorum was present at 2:52pm.

Representative Ward moved HF2426 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.

Representative Ward renewed his motion that HF2426 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.


Representative Morgan moved the minutes of March 10, 2010 be adopted.

HF3329 (Greiling) A bill for an act relating to education finance; clarifying the retired employee health benefits levy calculation.

Representative Greiling moved HF3329 be passed and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.

Representative Greiling testified.

Representative Greiling renewed her motion that HF3329 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.


HF3330 (Greiling) A bill for an act relating to education; clarifying revenue definitions for school districts and charter schools.

Representative Greiling moved HF3330 be passed and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.

Representative Greiling testified.

Representative Greiling renewed her motion that HF3330 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.


HF3331 (Greiling) A bill for an act relating to education; removing obsolete language.

Representative Greiling moved HF3331 be passed and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.

Representative Greiling testified.

Representative Greiling renewed her motion that HF3331 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Finance Committee.


Luther Thompson, Government Relations, Teachers Retirement Association and Laurie Hacking, Executive Director, Teachers Retirement Association, provided an informational overview of HF2952 and HF3281.

Public testimony on HF2952 and HF3281 was provided by the following individuals:
