Representative Bill Hilty, Chair, called the thirty-fourth meeting to order at 2:59 p.m. on February 22, 2010 in the Basement hearing room of the State office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Johnson moved approval of the minutes of February 17, 2010. The motion prevailed. The minutes were adopted.

Rep. Hilty moved that HF2798 be recommended to pass and be returned to the Committee on Finance

Rep Atkins moved H2798A8 amendment

Rep Atkins incorporated the following oral amendment.

Line 1.24, after "the" insert "same annual"
Line 1.25, strike "per month"

Rep. Atkins explained the amendment.

Rep. Hilstrom spoke to the amendment.

Being in doubt of the results of a voice vote taken on the A8 amendment, the Chair called for a division. There being 9 ayes and 8 nays the motion prevailed the amendment was adopted.

Rep Welti moved to delete Section 1 of the bill.

Being in doubt of the results of a voice vote taken on the Welti motion, the Chair called for a division. There being 14 nays the motion prevailed the amendment was adopted.

The Chair renewed his motion that HF2798 be recommended to pass as amended and be returned to the Committee on Finance.

The motion prevailed the bill as amended was passed.
