Representative Juhnke, Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM, April 7, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Anderson moved that the minutes of April 6, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Rep. Juhnke moved that HF 1122 (Juhnke) Omnibus agriculture, rural economies and veterans affairs bill; be recommended to pass and be returned to the Committee on Finance.
Rep. Juhnke moved the H1122DE1 amendment (attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Juhnke moved an oral amendment HF 1122, as amended, as follows:
Page 56, line 24, delete "and" and before the period insert ", AMVETS and paralyzed Veterans of America"
[And amend the title accordingly]

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Juhnke moved the H1122A3 amendment (attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Juhnke moved an oral amendment as follows:
Page 1, line 5, delete "the St. Paul Growers' Association" and insert "members of a farmers' market association"
Page 1, line 7, delete everything after "members"
Page 1, line 8, delete everything before "who"
Page 1, line 10, delete everything before "2008"
[And amend the title accordingly]

Rep. Juhnke moved an oral amendment HF 1122, as amended, as follows:
Page 53, line 15, after "organics" insert "including value-added processing"

Rep. Falk moved an oral amendment to HF 1122, as amended, as follows:
Page 3, line 21, delete "$60,000" and insert "$100,000" and delete "$60,000" and insert "$100,000"

Rep. Juhnke renewed the motion that HF 1122 (Juhnke), as amended, be recommended to pass and be returned to the Committee on Finance and noted that "staff may make any technical changes necessary to reflect the will of the committee."
