Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:52
P.M. on March 9th, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Mullery moved HF1258 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.
HF1258-Mullery-Gift tax imposed, coordinated with the estate tax.
Representative Reinert moved the minutes from March 3, 2009; March 4, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
Representative Rukavina moved HF716 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.
HF716-Rukavina-Tax provided on interest rates over 15 percent
The following people testified on HF716: Tom Hesse, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce; Joseph Witt, Minnesota Bankers Association; Buzz Anderson, Minnesota Retailers Association;
Chris Galler, Minnesota Association of Realtors; Jill Larson, Minnesota Business Partnership.
Representative Zellers moves that HF716 be recommended to be sent to the Commerce and Labor Committee. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.
Representative Rukavina renewed his motion that HF716 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.
