MINUTES


Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 4:30 pm in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Demmer moved to approve the minutes of May 7, 2010.

Representative Nelson moved to approve the minutes of May 10, 2010.

Representative Holberg noted that the minutes of May 7, 2010 were missing a roll call vote on Final Passage.


HF2922 (Thissen) Minneapolis Employees Retirement Fund; administrative functions transferred to the Public Employees Retirement Association, consolidation account created within the Public Employees Retirement Association, and money appropriated.

Representative Solberg moved that HF2922 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Solberg moved to amend HF2922 as follows: Page 39, delete Section 26

Representative Thissen presented HF2922 as amended.

Kristin Dybdal, Minnesota Management and Budget testified on behalf of HF2922 as amended.



Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF2922 as amended pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Solberg moved to reconsider the minutes dated May 7, 2010.

Representative Solberg requested the Clerk correct the minutes by inserting the roll call vote on final Passage of HF3833 as amended.

Representative Solberg informed committee members that the Clerk will correct the minutes of May 7, 2010 and requested adoption of the May 7, 2010 minutes.

Representative Holberg moved that the minutes of May 7, 2010, as corrected by the Committee Clerk be adopted.

Representative Kahn moved that SF2471 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Kahn moved that SF2471 as amended pass and placed on the General Register.

SF3134 (Kahn) State government programs or activities money appropriated or reduced, and provisions changed relating to expenses of governor-elect, income earned by the permanent school fund, lease-purchase agreements, general services, resource recovery, payment of aids and credits to school districts, tax return preparers, and implied consent.

Representative Kahn moved that SF3134 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Kahn moved that SF3134 be amended as follows: See A10-2646
