MINUTES


Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on April 9, 2008 at 1:30 pm, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Sertich moved adoption of the April 2, 2008 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED

SF345 (Huntley) Medical Use of Marijuana www.house.mn

Representative Huntley moved that SF345 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Huntley moved to amend SF345 as follows: page 13, line page 13.30 after 2008, delete and $680,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009,are and insert is and on page 14, line 14.2 delete 2008 and insert 2009.
THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Huntley presented his bill as amended. Testifying on behalf of HF345 was Representative DeLaForest.

Representative Huntley renewed his motion that HF345 as amended be passed and placed on the General Register.

Representative Dean requested a roll call vote.
Those voting in the affirmative were: Solberg, Carlson, Clark, Eken, Erhardt, Hilstrom, Hilty, Huntley, Kahn, Murphy E., Pelowski, Sertich, Tschumper.

Those voting in the negative were: Brynaert, Dean, Drazkowski, McNamara.

There being 13 Ayes and 4 Nays THE MOTION PREVAILED



SF2564 (Huntley) TANF maintenance of effort programs modification

Representative Huntley moved that SF2564 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Huntley moved to amend SF2564 as follows: See 2564A2.

Representative Huntley renewed his motion that SF2564 as amended pass and be placed on the General Register.

The committee adjourned at 2:15 pm.
