Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:20 am, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Brynaert moved that the minutes of April 9, 2008 be adopted.

Representative Solberg moved that the committee reconsider the vote on HF345, 3rd committee engrossment THE MOTION PREVAILED

Representative Huntley moved that SF345, 1st Unofficial Engrossment be recommended to pass and be placed on the general register.

Representative Huntley moved to amend SF345 as follows: see A2.

Representative Solberg moved that HF3280 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

2008 U.S. Women's Open temporary permits required for passenger vehicles.

Representative Solberg moved that HF3558 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Madore presented HF3558.

Bovine tuberculosis control provided in certain areas, and money appropriated.

Representative Solberg moved that HF4075 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Solberg moved to amend HF4075 as follows: see A2.

Representative Solberg moved to amend HF4075, as amended, as follows: Page 6, line 11 delete ARTICLE and on page 6, line 12 delete 9, section 3."

Juvenile driver's license $30 reinstatement fee imposed following revocation.

Representative Solberg moved that HF3490 be passed and placed on the General Register.

Representative Bigham presented HF3490.

Pat McCormick, Director of Driver's and Vehicle Services from the Department of Publish Safety testify on behalf of HF3490.

Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF3490 pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED

Transportation-related program or activity provisions modified or added, penalties imposed, and reports required.

Representative Solberg moved that HF3800 1st Engrossment be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Solberg moved that HF3800 1st Engrossment be amended as follows: delete page 40, line 40.1 thru 30.13 (Section 61). THE MOTION PREVAILED

Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF3800, as amended, pass and be placed on the General Register THE MOTION PREVAILED

Representative Solberg indicated that the author of SF3669 (Madore) was not ready to proceed.

The meeting adjourned at 11:15 am.
