Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:07 P.M. on April 1, 2008, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Before the committee was HF3158.

HF3158-Slawik-Oakdale; Extended duration limits authorized for certain redevelopment tax increment financing districts.

The following people testified on HF3158: Craig Waldron, City Administrator, City of Oakdale; Bill Sullivan, Police Chief, City of Oakdale; Robert Streetar, Community Development Director, City of Oakdale.

A quorum was present.

Representative Zellers moved HF2723 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Marquart moved HF 3158 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Marquart moved amendment A08-1425 (ATTACHED). THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Atkins moved HF3158 pass and be placed on the Consent Calendar.

Representative Atkins withdrew his motion.

Representative Marquart renewed his motion that HF3158 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill as amended.

Representative Jaros moved HF3162 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3162-Jaros-Duluth; Tax increment financing districts time extension provided.

Representative Jaros renewed his motion that HF3162 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3162 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Dill moved HF3398 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3398-Simon-Hopkins; Special law restriction eliminated on a tax increment financing district.

The following people testified on HF3398: Cheryl Youakim, Councilmember, City of Hopkins; Bob Deike, Hopkins City Attorney.

Representative Dill renewed his motion that HF3398 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Atkins moved HF 3530 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3530-Poppe-Austin; Tax increment expenditures authorized.

The following person testified on HF3530: Jim Hurm, Austin City Administrator.

Representative Atkins renewed his motion that HF3530 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Davnie moved the minutes from March 18, 2008 and March 19, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
