Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:10 P.M. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF0187 Brod Estate tax federal exemption amount conformity provided.

HF0107 Erhardt Wagering losses treatment modified under the alternative minimum tax.

Geno Fragnito (Minnesota Society of CPAs) expressed support of HF0107.

HF0946 Lieder Transportation finance omnibus bill.

Representative Carlson moved HF0946 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Erin Sexton (Minnesota Chamber of Commerce) testified on HF0946.

Representative Brod moved the H0946A15 amendment.

Bob Vanasek (Minnesota Inter-County Association) and Bob Tennessen (I-35W Solutions Alliance) testified on the H0946A15 amendment.

Representative Lanning moved to amend HF0946 as follows:
Page 29, delete line 21
Page 29, line 22, delete "exclusive of the expenditures of these revenues,"
Page 29, line 24, delete "decrease more than two percentage" and insert "be less than 48 percent or greater than 52 percent of the total."
Page 29, delete lines 25 and 26

Matt Burress (House Research) provided information on Rep Lanning's amendment.

THE MOTION PREVAILED - THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Phil Krinkie (President, Taxpayers League of Minnesota) testified on HF0946.
