Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:02 A.M. on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Joel Michael (House Research) provided a briefing on using the tax system for non-revenue raising purposes.
Katherine Schill (House Fiscal Analysis), Karen Baker (House Research), Steve Hinze (House Research) and Pat Dalton (House Research) provided a briefing on property taxes.
Representative Tillberry moved approval of minutes for Monday, January 22, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
