MINUTES


Representative Neva Walker, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:05 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Wardlow moved that the minutes of February 9, 2007 be adopted. MOTION PREVAILED.

HF196 (Greiling) changing mental health provisions

Rep. Greiling moved that HF196 be taken up for discussion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Greiling moved the H0196A7 amendment.

Rep. Greiling amended the H0196A7 amendment as follows:

Page 1, line 1.8 delete "earn their way out of" and insert "be released from"
Page 1, line 1.9 after "confinement" insert "in a timely manner"
Page 1, line 1.10 after "shall" insert ", when possible,"

Rep. Greiling moved the H0196A7 amendment, as amended, be adopted. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Walker laid HF196 on the table.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 P.M.
