Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:20 P.M. on, Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Ruud moved that the minutes of February 22, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Thissen announced the referral of the following bill to the Mental Health Division:

HF913 (Thissen) Hennepin and Ramsey Counties group residential housing provider supplemental rates authorized, and money appropriated.

Chair Thissen moved that HF320 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

HF320 (Anzelc) establishing a method to determine reimbursement of nursing facility Public
Employees Retirement Association costs

Providing testimony on the bill:

Kari Thurlow, Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF320 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. MOTION PREVAILED.

HF400 (Hosch) allowing contracts with nursing facilities for the provision of additional specialized services; modifying rates

Rep. Fritz requested to incorporate a change in the bill as follows:

Page 8, line 10 and 13, insert "5" in the blank

Chair Thissen moved the H0721A4 amendment. AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
