MINUTES


Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:17 P.M. on, Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Ruud moved that the minutes of January 18, 2007 be adopted. MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 111 (Loeffler) Preventive health care promoted by requiring high deductible health plans used with a health savings account to cover preventive care with no deductible as permitted by federal law.

Rep. Loeffler moved that HF 111 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

Rep. Loeffler presented HF 111 and answered questions.

Rep. Emmer moved to amend HF 111 as follows:

Page 1, line 1.14, delete everything after "care"
Page 1, line 1.15, delete "cost-sharing"

MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
