MINUTES


Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 7:31 A.M. on Thursday, March 22, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of March 21, 2007, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Kahn moved that HF 1638 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

A bill for an act relating to game and fish; modifying definitions; providing for and modifying certain fees; etc.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 1116 First Engrossment be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chairman Pelowski moved to amend HF 1116 First Engrossment(see attached A07-0423 amendment).

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hilty moved to amend HF 1116 First Engrossment, as amended, as follows:

Page 2, line 10, after the period, insert:

"The fees must be set in an amount that neither significantly over recovers nor
underrecovers costs."

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Howes requested a roll call on the final vote.

Those voting aye: Pelowski, Brod, Hilty, Kalin, Morgan, Peterson, N., Poppe, Simon and Wollschlager.

Those voting nay: Anderson, S., Emmer, Howes, and Winkler.

There were 9 ayes and 4 nays, THE MOTION PREVAILED.

and insert "judicial office"
