Chair Wagenius called the meeting to order at 8:09 A.M. on February 26th, 2008, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bunn testified on issues surrounding remediation of the Washington County Landfill.

A quorum was present at 8:20 A.M.

Jeff Lewis, Petroleum and Landfill Cleanup Manager, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA)

Doug Day, Closed Landfill Program Supervisor, MPCA


Len Frame, Chairman, Phoenix Solutions Company, testified on plasma torch technology as a potential solution for the landfill.

The meeting adjourned at 9:47 A.M.
