MINUTES


Representative Jean Wagenius, Chair of the Committee, called the first meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. on January 23, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Dr. Heiko Schoenfuss, Director of the Aquatic Toxicology Laboratory at St. Cloud State University, testified on the effects of emerging contaminants (endocrine disrupters) on fish and human health.

John Velin, Director of the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) presented an overview of the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.

Susan Thornton, Assistant Director of the LCCMR, presented an overview of the Commission.

Representative Doty moved that the minutes of January 19, 2007 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 A.M.
