Representative Carlson, Chair of the Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at
6:18 P.M. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Simon moved approval of the minutes of Tuesday, May 6, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Rep. Huntley moved adoption of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Division Report for HF1875. (See language at http://wdoc.house.leg.state.mn.us/leg/LS85/HF1875.0.pdf). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Huntley moved that HF1875 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Rep. Huntley moved to amend HF1875. (See attached amendment H1875DE2). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Huntley presented HF1875, as amended (Huntley) Medical education research funds; public program volume factor for MERC converted from revenue to charges.

Rep. Huntley renewed the motion that HF1875, as amended, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Wagenius moved adoption of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division Report for HF3293, First Committee Engrossment. (See language at http://wdoc.house.leg.state.mn.us/leg/LS85/CEH3293.1.pdf). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Clark moved that HF3293, First Committee Engrossment, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Rep. Clark presented HF3293, First Committee Engrossment (Clark) Pollution Control Agency required to analyze cumulative pollution effects in an area prior to issuing a permit.

Rep. Clark renewed the motion that HF3293, First Committee Engrossment, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:23 P.M.
