MINUTES


Representative David Dill, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:39 P.M. on Monday, February 26th, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. .

A quorum was present.

Representative Hansen moved approval of the minutes of February 19th, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

HF 1035 (Solberg) Itasca County; tax-forfeited land assurance fee exemptions provided for certain exchanged land.

Chairman Dill moved HF 1035 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.

Chairman Dill moved the A07-0117 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Dill renewed his motion that HF 1035 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 191 (Heidgerken) Anglers allowed to use two lines and two hooks while fishing.

Representative Hackbarth moved HF 191 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game and Fish Omnibus Bill.

Representative Hackbarth moved an oral amendment to HF 191 as follows:
Delete lines 1.11 through 1.16.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 1021 (Dill) Lake Superior commercial fishing provisions modified.

Chairman Dill moved the H1021A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Dill moved an oral amendment to the1021A1 amendment as follows:
Delete lines 1.22 through 1.24.
On line 1.25 after Sec. delete "6" and insert "2".
THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Chairman Dill moved HF 631 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.

Chairman Dill moved the A07-0090 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Dill moved the A07-0089 amendment.

Chairman Dill moved an oral amendment to the A07-0089 amendment as follows:
On line 2.5 after scaled and before the period delete ", at its discretion".
THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Chairman Dill renewed is motion on the A07-0089 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hackbarth moved an oral amendment to HF 631 as follows:
On line 3.10 after commissioner's add "administrative".
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hansen moved the H1016DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Simpson moved that HF 960 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game, Fish, and Forestry Omnibus Bill.

Representative Dean Simpson and Ed Boggess, DNR, testified on HF 960.

Chairman Dill laid over HF 960 for possible inclusion in the Game, Fish, and Forestry Omnibus Bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:22 P.M.
