MINUTES


Representative Kate Knuth called the meeting to order at 4:09 P.M. on Monday, February 5th, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Morrow moved approval of the minutes of January 29th, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

David Schad and Dennis Simon, DNR, gave a presentation of the DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife and answered questions from the committee.

Chairman Dill assumed the chair at 4:45 P.M.

HF 128 (Pelowski) Nonresident archery deer license fee modified.

Representative Knuth moved HF 128.

Representative Pelowski and Ed Boggess, DNR, testified on HF 128.

Chairman Dill laid over HF 128 for possible inclusion in the Game, Fish, & Forestry Omnibus Bill.

HF 260 (Kalin) Veterans exempted from the requirement of a firearm safety certificate.

Representative Knuth moved HF 260.

Chairman Dill moved the A07-0024 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Knuth renewed her motion that HF 260, as amended, be recommended to pass re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources with a recommended re-referral to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:26 P.M.
