MINUTES


Representative Kent Eken, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:06 P.M. on Tuesday, February 27th, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative McNamara moved approval of the minutes of February 22nd, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

HF 790 (Moe) Minnesota Public Facilities Authority Act provisions modified, technical and housekeeping changes made, and Pollution Control Agency project priority rule modified.

Representative Moe moved that HF 790 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations, Reform, Technology, and Elections.

Representative Moe renewed his motion that HF 790 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations, Reform, Technology, and Elections. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 934 (Clark) Polybrominated diphenyl ether manufacture and sale restricted.

Chairman Eken moved that HF 934 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

Chairman Eken moved the 0934A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Marvin Hora, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, answered questions from the committee on HF 934.

Chairman Eken laid HF 934 on the table.

HF 719 (Dill) Lake County; temporary suspension of tax-forfeited lands proceeds provided to reimburse county for purchase of Clair A. Nelson Memorial Forest land.

Representative Dill moved that HF 719 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Representative Dill moved the A07-0140 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Dill renewed his motion that HF 719, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.

HF 1235 (Berns) Zebra mussel control pilot program established, and money appropriated.
HF 1236 (Berns) Zebra mussel control pilot program established, and money appropriated.
HF 1241 (Thao) Archery hunting provisions modified by permitting use of bow drawn, held, or released by mechanical device.
HF 1362 (Doty) Sucker regulations expanded to include early season for spearing and netting.
HF 1417 (Juhnke) Kandiyohi County; Green Lake Eurasian water milfoil pilot project established.
HF 1419 (Garofalo) Dakota County tax-forfeited land bordering public water conveyance authorized.
HF 1449 (Hansen) Natural resources and clean water purposes dedicated funding provided, sales tax increased, funds and council established, bonds issued, and constitutional amendment proposed.
