MINUTES


Representative Kent Eken, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:11 P.M. on Thursday, February 15th, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Brynaert moved approval of the minutes of February 8th, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

HF 587 (Bly) Contested case hearing notice requirements modified relating to waters of the state.

Chairman Eken moved that HF 587 be recommended to pass.

Chairman Eken moved the A07-0070 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Eken renewed his motion that HF 587 be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 577 (Hansen) Ditch buffer and drainage and inspection requirements modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Hansen moved that HF 577 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs.

Representative Hansen moved the A07-0058 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hansen moved the A07-0072 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hansen moved the A07-0074 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hansen renewed his motion that HF 577, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dill moved adoption of the Division Reports for HF 260, HF 354, and HF 152. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 260 (Kalin) Veterans exempted from the requirement of a firearm safety certificate.

Chairman Eken moved HF 260, 1st Committee Engrossment, be recommended to pass.

Chairman Eken moved HF 152, 1st Committee Engrossment, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division.

HF 354 (Anzelc) Timber harvesting local economic impact statement required.

Chairman Eken moved that HF 354 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referred to the Higher Education and Work Force Development Policy and Finance Division.

Announcement: Bills Previously Referred to Game, Fish, and Forestry Division by Memo:

HF 945 (Juhnke) Fishing opportunities endowment account established, and money appropriated.

HF 949 (Moe) Great Outdoors Council and fund established, Clean Water Council modified, and money appropriated.
