MINUTES
Representative Carlos Mariani, Chair of the E-12 Education Committee, called the fifth meeting to order at 8:05 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2007, in the basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Erickson moved that the minutes of January 23, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Overview of education policy issues in the Governor's budget presented by:
Commissioner Alice Seagren, Minnesota Department of Education.
Presentation continued by:
Deputy Commissioner Chas Anderson, Minnesota Department of Education.
Chair Mariani announced that the January 30, 2007 meeting of the E-12 Education Committee is cancelled. The committee will instead meet on Tuesday evening at 7:00PM at the Glover-Suddeth Center in North Minneapolis as part of a joint committee hearing with the K-12 Education Finance Committee.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 AM.
