MINUTES


Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division, called the fourteenth meeting to order at 8:06 A.M. on February 29, 2008, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:06 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Hoppe moved that the minutes of February 22, 2008, be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 3327 (Beard) Telephone company alternative regulation plan provisions modified.

Representative Beard moved HF3327 before the division and be included in the omnibus bill.

Beard moved amendment H3327DE1.

Beard moved an oral amendment
Page 2, Line 2.3, after adoption strike "within…days of electric company filing notice"

Testifying on the bill:
Joanne Johnson - Government Operations Manager - Frontier Communications

Representative Beard renewed his motion that HF3327 be approved and held over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.


HF 635 (Masin) Minnesota Wireless Telephone Consumer Protection Act adopted.

Representative Masin moved the bill before the committee.

Representative Masin moved amendment H0635A9.
The amendment was adopted.

A handout "Minnesota Attorney General's Office Fact Sheet" was given to division members.


Representative Masin renewed her motion that HF635 be recommended to pass as amended and is re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.
