MINUTES


Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Division, called the first meeting to order at 10:02 A.M. on, January 12, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

No members were excused.

Representative Davnie called the meeting to order at 10:02 A.M. A quorum was present.

Introductions were made by division members and staff.

Scott Brenner, Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry gave a department overview and a handout was given to division members.

Lee Nelson, Director of Unemployment Insurance and Legal Affairs from the Department of Employment and Economic Development gave an overview of the unemployment insurance legislation. The "2006 Report" was given to division members.


The meeting was adjourned at 11:10 A.M.
