MINUTES


Representative Tim Mahoney, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:08AM on, February 27, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 589 (Peterson, A), a bill for an act relating to agriculture; establishing a clean energy capital equipment loan program; providing for cellulosic biofuel development; providing bioenergy production initiatives; creating the reinvest in Minnesota clean energy program; providing for enforcement; authorizing a technical committee; appropriating money;

Representative Peterson moved HF 589.

Representative Peterson moved amendment H0589A1 (attached).

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Mahoney moved that HF 589 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 769, a bill for an act relating to agriculture; appropriating money for agronomic research on native plants; providing a technical advisory committee.

Representative Hansen presented HF 769. Questions and discussion followed.
