MINUTES


Representative Holberg, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the Thirty-Second meeting to order at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday April 4, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Excused from the meeting:

A quorum was present.

Representative Magnus moved approval of the March 30, 2006 Transportation Finance Committee Meeting Minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF3696 (Abrams) International economic development zone final designation and zone duration delayed, corresponding tax incentive dates modified, foreign trade powers application authorized, and grants extended.

Representative Abrams moved HF3696 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Abrams moved Amendment H3696A2 (see attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abrams presented HF3696.

Representative Abrams renewed his motion that HF3696 be passed, as amended, and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3682 (Abrams) Metropolitan area transit and paratransit additional financing
provided.

Representative Abrams moved HF3682 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

HF3127 (Abrams) Motor vehicle lease sales tax revenue deposit modified.

Representative Abrams moved HF3127 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Abrams moved Amendment H3127DE1 (see attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abrams renewed his motion that HF3127, as amended, be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

AMENDMENT MB-AMD08

Representative Magnus discussed Amendment MB-AMD08 (see attached).

Chair Holberg requested that those who have questions concerning Amendment
MB-AMD08 contact her or Representative Magnus prior to Tuesday April 11, 2006 with their questions.

Vice Chair Ruth assumed the gavel at 1:00 P.M.

HF3657 (Holberg) Highway funding provided, trunk highway motor vehicle sales tax collection account established, proceeds allocated, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Holberg moved HF3657 be heard and held over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.
