MINUTES


Representative Mary Liz Holberg, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the Seventeenth meeting to order at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday March 22, 2005, in
Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Magnus moved approval of the March 17, 2005 Transportation Finance Committee Meeting Minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

SF0004 (Sams) Gasoline minimum ethanol content requirement increase; petroleum replacement goal. HF0223 (Davids) Ethanol minimum content in gasoline increased.

Representative Holberg took SF0004 from the table.

Representative Davids presented SF0004.

The following presented a walk-through of the fiscal note for SF0004:

Representative Holberg moved amendment S0004A23 (see attached).
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hornstein moved amendment S0004A20 (see attached).
Representative Hornstein presented the S0004A20 amendment.

Testifying against the S0004A20 amendment:

Representative Abrams moved the following verbal amendment to amendment S0004A20:

Page 4 line 29, insert after "statement.''" "This section is effective July 1, 2007."

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hornstein renewed his motion that amendment S0004A20, as amended be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg moved amendment S0004A22 (see attached).

Testifying on behalf of the S0004A22 amendment:

Sam Rankin (1:25 – 1:28) House Research

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that amendment S0004A22 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg laid SF0004 on the table.

Chair Holberg adjourned the meeting at 1:30 P.M.
