Representative Ron Erhardt, Chairman of the Transportation Policy Committee, called the Twenty-second meeting to order at 2:35 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Lieder moved approval of the March 30, April 1, April 5, 2005 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Hornstein moved approval of HF912 (Beard) Motorized foot scooters defined, and use and operation regulated, and recommended it be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Hornstein moved adoption of the H0912A1 amendment to HF912. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Beard presented HF912 as amended.

Rep. Severson moved adoption of the A05-0559 amendment to HF912 as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presenting testimony in support of HF912 as amended was:
Sarah Janacek, Caribou Coffee

Rep. Hornstein renewed his motion to approve HF912 (Beard), as amended, and place it on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Cybart moved approval of HF1794 (Dill) Orr; 30 mile per hour speed limit established for trains, and recommended it be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Dill presented HF1794.

Presenting testimony in opposition to HF1794 was:

Rep. Cybart amended his motion to approve HF 1794 and re-refer it to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Severson presented HF1883 (Severson) Federal-aid highway funds distribution provided to state and local bodies, for informational purposes.

Presenting testimony in opposition to HF 1883 was:

Chairman Erhardt laid over HF 1883 (Severson) for further study.
