MINUTES


Representative Phil Krinkie, Chairman of the Tax Committee, called the thirty-seventh meeting to order at 10:25 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

HF1909 (HACKBARTH): Game and fish heritage enhancement and clean water funds and councils established, sales tax percentage dedicated, and constitutional amendment proposed.

The Chair moved the HF1909de14 delete all amendment to the HF1909DE10 delete all amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. ATKINS moved the HF1909A11 amendment to the HF1909de14 delete all amendment.

Rep. DAVIDS moved the minutes from June 7, 2005; October 11, 2005; February 1, 2006; March 16, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

There being 15 ayes and 12 nays, THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. DILL moved an oral amendment to the HF1909A11 amendment as follows:
Delete lines 8.7 through 8.9.
Replace with: “Money allocated to the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Minnesota Historical Society, public broadcasting, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Humanities Commissioner, the Minnesota Film Board, the Minnesota Children’s Museum, and the Duluth Children’s Museum may not be used for administrative purposes. If one of the above entities ceases to exist, then the appropriated money must be allocated proportionally among the remaining entities.”
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. ERHARDT moved THE HF1909A10 amendment to the HF1909de14 amendment as amended.

Rep. DORMAN moved an oral amendment to the HF1909 A10 amendment.
Line 1.10 - 1.11: delete “Any” through the end of the sentence
Line 1.16: delete “and its legal equivalent”

Rep. VANDEVEER requested a roll call vote on the DORMAN oral amendment.
