MINUTES


Representative Phil Krinkie, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the twelfth meeting to order at 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chairman Krinkie asked Representative Brod to give the committee an outline of HF 1127, a bill related to tax credits, authorizing an additional two million dollars for the Minnesota bio-science zones.

Chairman Krinkie asked representatives of the Minnesota bio-zone communities to provide the committee with an overview of what bio-sciences are doing for their communities and Minnesota.

Chairman Krinkie asked the Minnesota Department of Revenue to provide the committee with an overview of HF 660, the Governor’s tax proposal.

John Haugen – Department of Revenue, Attorney

Rep. Mullery moved approval of the committee minutes for Wednesday, February 15, 2005.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
