MINUTES


Representative Erik Paulsen, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, called the seventh meeting to order at 3:28 P.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in Room 118 of the State Capitol.

The Clerk noted the roll.

NONE

A quorum was present.

The first matter under consideration was the approval of the minutes from the meeting on Wednesday, March 16, 2005.

Rep. Kohls moved that the minutes be approved.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE MINUTES FROM THE MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 2005 WERE APPROVED.

The second matter under consideration was H.F.6 (Severson).

Chair Paulsen moved that H.F.6 be recommended to pass.

Rep. Severson presented H.F.6.

Rep. Smith moved the H0006A1 amendment.

Rep. Smith presented the H0006A1 amendment.

Discussion.

Rep. Smith renewed his motion that the H0006A1 be adopted.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE H0006A1 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.


Chair Paulsen renewed his motion that H.F.6 be recommended to pass as adopted.

Rep. Kohls requested a roll call vote.

Voting “aye” were: Paulsen, Abrams, Anderson, Hoppe, Hosch, Johnson, Juhnke, Kohls, Magnus, Ozment, Samuelson, Seifert, Smith, Sviggum, and Tingelstad.

Voting “nay’ were Bernardy, Carlson, L., Kelliher, Loeffler, Moe, Poppe, Sailer, and Sertich.

There being 15 ayes and 8 nayes, the MOTION PREVAILED; H.F.6 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AS AMENDED.

The meeting adjourned at 3:39 P.M.
