MINUTES


Rep. Torrey Westrom, Chair of the Regulated Industries Committee, called the nineteenth meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on March 8, 2006 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Hoppe moved approval of the minutes for the following dates: April 12, 2005, September 27, 2005, September 27, 2005 and January 30, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Westrom noted that all gaming and liquor bills will be sent directly to the respective committee division or subcommittee to expedite committee action.

HF 3090 (Westrom and Beard) Uniform regulatory treatment of telecommunications services for business customers provided. Uniform regulatory treatment of telecommunications services for business customers provided.

Rep. Westrom moved that HF 3090 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Hilty assumed the gavel at 2:50 p.m.

Rep. Westrom provided the committee with an overview of HF 3090.

HF 1319 (Beard) Additional cable franchise requirements modified.

Rep. Thissen moved that HF 1319 brought before the committee for reconsideration.

Rep. Westrom requested rewording of the Thissen motion.

Rep. Thissen moved that HF 1319 be taken off the table and placed before the committee for reconsideration.

Rep. Thissen moved to amend HF 1319 (H1319DE1 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
