MINUTES


Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-fifth meeting to order at 10:24 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2005 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Johnson moved approval of the minutes of March 9, 2005, Public Safety Policy and Finance Meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Smith moved HF467 (Anderson, B.) relating criminal vehicular homicide and injury for failure to yield right-of-way penalties imposed.

Rep. Smith moved to amend HF467 with the H0467A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Anderson presented HF467.

Rep. Smith laid HF467, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee.

Rep. Smith moved HF256 (Smith) relating to Law enforcement agencies required to return personal property seized if criminal charges are not filed within 90 days.

Rep. Smith moved to amend HF256 with the H0256A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Rep. Smith moved to amend HF256 with the H0256A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Rep. Eastlund moved HF204 (Garafalo) relating Traffic signal override device possession restricted and penalty provided.

Rep. Smith moved HF1156 (Powell) relating to State Patrol vehicle automatic external defibrillators funding provided, and money appropriated.

Rep. Powell presented HF1156.
