Representative Morrie Lanning, Vice-Chair of the Local Government Committee, called the sixteenth meeting to order at 12:36 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

POPPE, Jeanne moved the Minutes of March 7, 2005 be approved as prepared by the Clerk. THE MOTION PREVAILED


HF0732 (Meslow) Electric or utility special assessments exceeding standards authorized on petition of all affected owners.

LANNING, Morrie moved HF0732 be recommended to pass.

LANNING, Morrie moved to recommend HF0732 be amended as follows:

MARQUART, Paul moved HF1258 be recommended to pass.

HF1287 (Welti) Wabasha County jail and criminal justice center construction and sheriff office location outside county seat authorized.

HOSCH, Larry moved HF1287 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety Policy and Finance.

Representative Olson, Chair of the Local Government Committee, reconvened the sixteenth meeting at 4:39 P.M. on March 9, 2005 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Discussion continued on the Hosch Motion

There being no further testimony pro or con, the question re-occurred on the Hosch Motion to recommend HF1287 be amended and when so amended be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety Policy and Finance. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL


HF1320 (Hoppe) Hennepin County regional park district provisions modified.

OLSON, Mark moved HF1320 be recommended to pass.

The Chair called Representative Lanning to the Chair.
