MINUTES


Representative Fran Bradley, Chairman of the Health Policy and Finance Committee, called the twelfth meeting to order at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Thissen moved to approve the minutes from the February 8, 2005 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED. The minutes were approved.

HF563 (Knoblach) Service cooperatives permitted to provide group health coverage to private employers

Chairman Bradley moved HF 563 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce.

Rep. Knoblach presented HF 563.

Rep. Bradley renewed his motion that HF 563 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF675 (Samuelson) Hospice care bill of rights modified, hospice provider survey completion required, and death report requirements for recipients of hospice care modified.

Chairman Bradley moved that HF 675 be recommended to pass and be placed on the Consent Calendar.

Rep. Samuelson moved to amend HF 675 (see Amendment H0675A2 attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Bradley renewed his motion that HF 675, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the Consent Calendar. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Finstad assumed the gavel.

HF619 (Bradley) Parental contributions for the cost of services for children with mental retardation modified.

Rep. Bradley moved that HF 619 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Policy and Finance
Omnibus bill.

Rep. Bradley presented HF 619.

Rep. Bradley renewed his motion that HF 619 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Policy
and Finance Omnibus bill. HF 619 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.

Rep. Bradley assumed the gavel.
