Representative Kathy Tingelstad, Chair of the Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Committee, called the twenty eighth meeting to order at 10:26 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

10:26:48 AM Representative Jerry Dempsey moved the approval of the minutes of Monday, March 21, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1964 (Peterson, N.) relating to state government; establishing an energy savings program; authorizing the Department of Administration to use energy forward pricing mechanisms for budget risk reduction; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 16C.144; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16C.

10:28:13 AM Representative Neil Peterson moved that HF1964 be passed and be sent to the General Register.

10:46:45 AM Representative Neil Peterson renewed his motion that HF1964 be passed as amended and be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE BILL PASSED.

HF1748 (Hoppe) relating to state employees; modifying grievance appeal procedures; eliminating a medical examination requirement; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, sections 43A.33, subdivisions 3, 4; 43A.34, subdivision 3.
