MINUTES


Representative Tom Hackbarth, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the eleventh meeting to order at 12:38 p.m. on March 1, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

12:38:52 PM Rep. Blaine moved that the minutes of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee, dated Thursday, February 24, 2005.

12:42:24 PM HF894 (Cox) Public waters inventory authority, public waters work permit and water use permit provisions, and enforcement authority modified

Rep. Cox moved that HF894 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Local Government.
12:42:57 PM Rep. Cox moved the A05-0105 amendment.

12:43:43 PM Division of Waters - DNR, Kent Lokkesmoe, explained the bill.

Rep. Cox moved that HF789 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Veterans Affairs.

Rep. Cornish moved that HF901 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.

1:14:22 PM Division of Forestry – DNR, Olin Phillips, answered questions.
1:30:33 PM Rep. Cornish renewed his motion that HF901 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.

Rep. Hansen moved that HF1019 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

2:06:39 PM Lance Ness addressed the Committee.
2:13:13 PM Rep. Hansen renewed his motion that HF1019 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
