MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chairman of the Commerce and Financial Institutions Committee, called the fourteenth meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Loeffler moved that the minutes from the meeting of March 2, 2005 be approved.

The motion prevailed.


HF751 (Vandeveer) Electronic real estate recording task force established, and money appropriated.

HF751 was laid on the table for further discussion.


HF997 (Howes) Burns Township detached banking facility authorized.

Rep. Howes moved that HF997 be recommended to pass and be sent to the Consent Calendar.

Rep. Howes presented HF997.

Rep. Howes renewed his motion that HF997 be recommended to pass and be sent to the Consent Calendar. The motion prevailed.

HF12 (Rukavina) Minors prohibited from employment where liquor is served or consumed.

Rep. Rukavina moved that HF12 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Rep. Rukavina presented HF12.

Rep. Rukavina moved to amend HF12 as follows:

Page 1, line 15, delete "or dishwashing services", insert ", dishwashing, or hosting services"
Page 1, line 20, delete "or dishwashing services", insert ", dishwashing, or hosting services"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.


Rep. Liebling moved to incorporate the HF0012A1 amendment to HF12.

Rep. Wilkin ruled the amendment out of order under the 24-hour rule.

Rep. Rukavina renewed his motion that HF12, as amended, be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register. The motion prevailed.


The meeting adjourned at 1.30 p.m.
