MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chair of the Commerce & Financial Institutions Committee, called the eighth meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Hamilton moved that the minutes from the meeting of February 8, 2005 be approved.

The motion prevailed.


HF598 (Peppin) Standard industrial classification list rulemaking provisions modified.

Rep. Peppin moved that HF598 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Rep. Peppin presented HF598.

Rep. Peppin moved that HF598 be recommended to pass and be sent to the Consent Calendar.

The motion prevailed.


HF527 (Severson) Farm labor housing regulation as manufactured home park exemption provided.

Rep. Severson moved that HF527 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Rep. Severson presented HF527.


Testifying:

Ron Elwood, Legal Services Advocacy Project.

Rep. Severson moved to incorporate the A05-0051 amendment to HF527.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Severson moved that HF527, as amended, be recommended to pass and be sent to the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee.

The motion prevailed.


HF742 (Simpson) Employment agency licensing requirement exemptions provided, and certain fee payments prohibited.

Rep. Simpson moved HF742 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Rep. Simpson moved to incorporate the A05-0032 amendment to HF742.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Simpson moved HF742, as amended, be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

The motion prevailed.
