MINUTES
Representative Dennis Ozment, Chair of the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee called the twentieth meeting to order on Thursday, February 24, 2005, at 8:21 a.m.
The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Hoppe moved to approve minutes of February 23, 2005.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Ozment moved HF 787 to be before the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee.
Representative McNamara presented HF 787.
Testifying before the committee on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources was Bill Brice, Director of Lands and Minerals at 500 Lafayette Rd, St. Paul, MN 55155.
Representative Ozment moved that HF 787 pass, and be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill.

Representative Ozment moved HF 788 to be before the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee.
Representative McNamara presented HF 788.
Testifying before the committee on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources was Bob Tomlinson, Assistant Director of Forestry at 500 Lafayette Rd, St. Paul, MN 55155.
Representative Ozment moved that HF 788 pass, and be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill.

Representative Ozment moved HF 823 to be before the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee.
Representative Blaine presented HF 823.
Testifying before the committee on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources was Bob Tomlinson, Assistant Director of Forestry at 500 Lafayette Rd, St. Paul, MN 55155.
Representative Ozment moved to amend HF 823 as follows:
Section 10, Line 12 - reinstate $5, and strike $25,
and after $25, insert "to cover the commissioner’s cost of issuing the permit."
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Ozment moved that HF 823 pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Juhnke moved HF 540 to be before the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee.
Representative Juhnke presented HF 540.
Testifying before the committee on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources was Kurt Markham, Director of Agriculture Marketing at 90 West Plato Boulevard, St. Paul, MN 55107.
Representative Ozment moved that HF 540 pass, and be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill.

Representative Cornish moved HF 1133 to be before the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee.

Representative Ozment moved that HF 1133 pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Education Finance Committee with the request that Education Finance Committee return HF 1133 to the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill
