MINUTES


Representative Greg Davids, Chair of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Otremba moved approval of the minutes: Wednesday, March 30, 2005. The motion prevailed.

Chair Davids moved HF1585.

Chair Davids moved to amend HF1585 with the H1585DE1 amendment (please see attached). The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Davids moved to amend the H1585DE1 amendment, as follows:

Page 1, line 10, after "individual" insert "or families"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Davids moved to amend the H1585DE1 amendment, as follows:

Page 2, add a line 7 and insert "amend the title accordingly"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Davids renewed his motion that HF1585 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be placed on the General Register. The motion prevailed.

HF2146 (Soderstrom) Anhydrous ammonia additive feasibility study to prevent illicit use of methamphetamine required

Rep. Otremba moved to amend HF2146, as follows:

Page 1, line 23, after "2006," insert "or as soon as the study is complete, if earlier,"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Davids renewed his motion that HF2146 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture/Environment & Natural Resources Finance. The motion prevailed.

HF2249 (Penas) Organic Advisory Task Force extended.

Rep. Penas moved HF2249.

Rep. Penas presented HF2249.

Page 3, line 14, delete "2011" and insert "2007"

Rep. Penas renewed her motion that HF2249 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture/Environment & Natural Resources Finance. The motion prevailed.

HF1075 (Juhnke) Fertilizer Research Council established, comprehensive research and management program provided, and refundable fee imposed on agricultural fertilizers

Rep. Juhnke moved to amend HF1075 with the H1075DE5 amendment (please see attached). The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Juhnke moved to amend the H1075DE5 amendment, as follows:

Page 2, line 13, delete "appropriate" and after "standing" insert "agriculture"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.


Rep. Juhnke renewed his motion that HF1075 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture/Environment & Natural Resources Finance. The motion prevailed.
