Omnibus Public Testimony

HF 1078 (Mariani) Public safety funding provided; policy and funding provided for Sentencing Guidelines Commission, public safety, Peace Officers Standards and Training Board, Private Detective Board, corrections, and ombudsperson for corrections; report required; and money appropriated.*

*The Chair intends to waive the Amendment Rule regarding Amendments to Amendments and push back the Amendment deadlines 2 hours to the following for Thursday's omnibus bill mark up hearing: 1) Amendments to the DE will be due by Wednesday at 2pm; and 2) Amendments to Amendments to the DE will be due by Wednesday at 7pm

If you would like to sign up to testify, please email Jamael.Lundy@house.mn one hour before the committee start time. Public Testimony may be taken at the end of the hearing if time is available. If there is not time, members of the public will be asked to submit their testimony in writing.

IV. HF2435 (Mariani) Peace officer training reimbursement appropriation automatic inflationary increase created, law enforcement training reimbursement grant use limited, and money appropriated.

Law Enforcement Accountability Day

I. HF 1103 (Thompson) Duties imposed on peace officers and law enforcement agencies regarding video and audio recordings of deadly force use, and civil remedy provided.

II. HF 1104 (Thompson) Peace officer civil liability immunity prohibited

III. HF 1535 (Wolgamott) Correctional officer disciplinary proceedings modified.

IV. HF 440 (Hollins) Peace officer professional liability insurance required, and peace officer liability established.
