ADVISORY: Rep. Persell and Environment Policy Committee Hold Public Hearing in Bemidji

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — On January 21 and 22, Rep. John Persell (DFL – Bemidji) will welcome the House Environment Policy Committee to Northern Minnesota. During their visit, the committee members will hold a public hearing on water quality and other environmental issues and visit several local sites.



The House Environment Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Persell, will begin the tour on Tuesday, January 21. Committee members will join representatives from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for a presentation and a tour of the Badoura State Forest Nursery at 2:30 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., the legislators will hold a public hearing at the Bemidji State University American Indian Resource Center. On Wednesday, January 22, the committee members will tour the Bemidji Waste Water Treatment Plant at 9 a.m., the Leech Lake Fish Hatchery at 10:30 a.m., and the Cass Lake Superfund site at 11:15 a.m.
