New spending target anticipated for omnibus health care bill

A new spending target for the omnibus health and human services finance bill, HF1638, is anticipated in Friday’s House Ways and Means Committee, according to Rep. Matt Dean (R-Dellwood), chair of the House Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

The health and human services committee was scheduled to review the bill Thursday, but problems with the financial spreadsheet were discovered that delayed the hearing. Dean said the revised bill will be reviewed when the committee convenes a half-hour after tomorrow’s House Ways and Means Committee meeting, which is scheduled for noon. Public testimony and amendments to the bill are scheduled for Monday, Dean added.
