Starting Line: Paving the way for more stylists to operate mobile salons

Mobile salon operators may offer salon services such haircuts inside a vehicle, which is similar to a mobile home.

The set-up can be an ideal situation for busy people unable to make it to a bricks-and-mortar salon, those who are homebound due to a disability, or others recovering from an illness or accident.

Rep. Lyndon Carlson Sr. (DFL-Crystal) is sponsoring legislation that would give this revolutionary way to receive salon services a lift. His bill, HF695, is our Starting Line bill for the week.
